All about Football rules: Each team has 11 players, one of them the goalkeeper. A red card means the player is sent off. Two yellow cards mean a sending-off. The spot kick is called a penalty. The penalty spot is 11 metres from goal. Play restarts with a two-handed throw-in. It results in a corner kick. Only the goalkeeper may use their hands in their own area. Three goals by one player in a match is a hat-trick. Good to know: A team fields ten outfield players plus the goalkeeper. After a red card the team plays a man down. Two yellows in a match make a yellow-red and a sending-off. At a penalty only the keeper stands between shooter and goal. The penalty spot is exactly eleven metres from goal. On a throw-in both feet must stay on the ground. A corner is taken from the quarter-circle at the corner flag. Only in his own box may the keeper use his hands. A 'perfect' hat-trick is three goals with both feet and the head. Since the pandemic five substitutions are allowed instead of three.
